We are an International Aviation College established in Nigeria and working towards making great difference in the Aviation Industry. This College was established to provide Pilot Training and Aviation related Courses; Aircraft Engineers, Helicopter Pilots, Airline re-current training, Flight Dispatchers, Air Traffic Control, Initial and Recurrent Training Program. Our long term objective is to award Student Certificates in Aviation Management.

(1)    THE POSITION OF RECTOR

The Rector is the head of the College, responsible for running the day-to-day activities of the College. He is the Chief Accounting Officer/Accountable Manager and Academic Officer of the Institute. He is responsible for implementing comprehensive institutional strategy in delivering high quality training and human resourses management. The Rector must be competent to advise the Council on any matter affecting the policy, finance and administration of the College.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Ø The candidate should have had an extensive knowledge in Business Management and a proven track record of experience in Air Transportation (Commercial, Regulatory, Flight Training or Military).

Ø The prospective post holder’s possession of an ICAO recognized Airline Transport or Commercial Pilot License is an added advantage but more important is the candidates understanding of the qualitative Flight Training for Trainee Pilots.

Ø The Rector shall be a certified Airline Captain, Instructor Captain or Aircraft Engineer with at least 20 years work experience in Aviation sector.

Ø Experience in formulating and ensuring compliance with all the required Authorised Training Organisation operations and training manuals as well as the syllabi of the courses is essential. This will cover all aspect of the Flight Training Organisation’s training programs to the highest ICAO standard that will gain international recognition of the College graduates.

Ø The minimum age required for this position is 35 years and not more than 65years of age at the time of assumption of office

Ø Exhibit strong administrative leadership and capacity to generate funds.

Ø Provide evidence of medical fitness from a Government hospital.

Ø Must be a person of high/proven integrity and strong moral character with excellent interpersonal relation.

Ø Must be able to instill confidence into others and command the loyalty and respect of people.

Ø A valid training license will be considered an advantage.

TENURE:

THE Rector shall hold office for a term of four (4) years and may be re-appointed for another term of four years.

 

(2)    THE POSITION OF THE HEAD OF TRAINING

The Head of Training is responsible to the Rector of the College, and oversees all training activities in the College including Ground, Flight and Simulator training applicable thereto of the College.

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED

Ø Minimum of 10years experience Flight/Simulator Instructor in an internationally recognized Flight Training Organisation (FTO), including at least 3 years management experience in any capacity at an FTO.

Ø   Must not be less that 35years of age and not more than 65 years as   at the time of assumption of the office.

Ø Exhibit strong administrative leadership and capacity to generate funds.

Ø Provide evidence of medical fitness from a Government hospital.

Ø Must be a person of high/proven integrity and strong moral character with excellent interpersonal relation.

Ø Must be able to instill confidence into others and command the loyalty and respect of people.

Ø A valid training license will be considered an advantage.

Ø Must hold a Multi-Crew Instructor Certificate and 1,500hrs as a Pilot in a Multi-Crew environment. In addition, must hold the following;

a.   Certified Flight Instructor/Instrument CFI, CFII Airplane, Single and Multi-Engine land.

b.  500 hours dual Flight or Simulator instruction given as CFI.

(3)    THE POSITION OF REGISTRAR

The Registrar whom is a Principal Officer is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and shall be responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day administration of the College. A person to be appointed as the Registrar must hold a degree or equivalent qualification with adequate experience in administration. The Registrar shall be the Secretary to the Council and Academic Board and Committee of Council.

 

TENURE:

The appointment is for four years and may be eligible for re-appointment for another term of four years.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Candidate applying for the position of Registrar must;

Ø Posses a good honours degree in Humanities or any other related discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of (15) years post qualification work experience in administration.

Ø Posses additional degree and membership of recognized professional bodies will be an added advantage.

Ø Must not be less that 35years of age and not be more than 55years as at the time of assumption of the office.

Ø Must be a person of high/proven integrity and strong moral character with excellent interpersonal relation.

Ø Must be able to instill confidence into others and command the loyalty and respect of people.

Ø Must be of good health and ICT compliant.

Ø Must be able to demonstrate dynamism and wisdom when confronted with challenges of undesirable situation.

Ø Must be a team player and posses the ability to work with little or no supervision.

(4)    THE POSITION OF THE BURSAR

The Bursar is one of the Principal Officers of the College. He is the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of the College and also responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the College. He /She should provide the College Management with appropriate advice and support for all the College’s financial transactions.

TENURE:

The appointment is for four years and may be eligible for re-appointment for another term of four years.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

The College Bursar, who is the Head of the Bursary Department, must

Ø Posses a good first degree in Accountancy or its equivalent from a recognized University plus a minimum of Fifteen (15) years post qualification cognate experience.

Ø Be a Chartered Accountant or member of other recognized professional accounting bodies. Additional academic qualification will be an added advantage.

Ø Not be less than 35years of age or not more than 55years of age as at the time of assumption of duty.

Ø Must be a person of high/proven integrity and strong moral character with excellent interpersonal relation.

Ø Be ICT compliant.

Ø Must be of good heath with pleasant disposition.

Ø Must be a team player and posses the ability to work with little or no supervision

5. AVIONICS ENGINEER

The Avionics Engineer shall be responsible for the following.

Ø Working and troubleshooting of Avionics systems(Instruments, Electrics, autopilot and aircraft radio)

Ø Be familiar with Garmin 1000 system

Ø Assisting in general maintenance of available fleet in the College.

Ø Any other job assigned by the Maintenance Manager

Ø He/She shall report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED

Ø NCAA Avionics Engineer certificate with 9.1,9.2,8.1 and 8.2 rating or FAA/EASA Equivalent will also be considered

Ø B.Sc/HND Electrical/Electronics Engineering

Ø NCAT Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering

Ø Glass Cockpit/G1000 Experience is an added advantage.

Ø Experience on Diamond DA40/DA42 will also ba an added advantage

Ø 5 years working experience on the job.

Ø Must be a person of high/proven integrity and strong moral character with excellent interpersonal relation.

Ø Must not be more than 45 years old.

§  Direct reading compass

§  Remote reading compass

§  Autopilot.

6. QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

The applicant shall be required to support the continuous improvement and maintenance of the College’s quality Management system amongst other duties.

The Quality Assurance Engineer shall report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and should not be less than 30 years of age.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

The applicant must posses an AMEL or B.Engr Industrial/ Mechanical Engineering or its equivalence, previous comparative experience of at least three (3) years within aviation maintenance or manufacturing preferred. Must be a person of high/proven integrity and strong moral character with excellent interpersonal relation

7. INTERNAL AUDITOR

The Internal Auditor shall be responsible for the following.

Ø Taking charge of the Internal Audit Unit and making Report to the Rector/Chief Executive as and when due

Ø Supervising the work of complete and continuous audit of accounts and records of revenue, expenditure, plants and equipment of the College.

Ø Reporting to the Chief Executive all irregularities found in claims, expenditure and accounting records.

Ø Assisting in ensuring that the provisions of the Financial Regulations, Public Service Rules, Extant circulars etc. in force are complied with.

Ø Must be a person of high/proven integrity and strong moral character with excellent interpersonal relation

Ø Performing any other related duties as may from time to time be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Ø By direct appointment of a candidate possessing a University degree/HND in Accountancy or its equivalent with NYSC and any other Professional relevant qualification is an added advantage.

Ø Plus at least twelve (12) years post-qualification cognate experience.

8. PROCUREMENT MANAGER

 Assists in taking charge and records of materials in and out of the store

Ø Submitting periodic reports on store items

Ø Assisting on the job training of junior Store personnel.

Ø Ensuring that prices for consumables and spare parts are correct and verifiable

Ø Liaise with the College vendor/ suppliers on current prices of items used by the College.

Ø Ensure that quality items are procured/supplied at reasonable prices

Ø Must have good bargaining power

Ø Must notify College’s authority on any changes in prices of commodities used by College.

Ø Liaise with Store officer on the need to re-order to the College’s store in case

Ø Must be a person of high/proven integrity and strong moral character with excellent interpersonal relation

Ø Any other duties that may be assigned by the Management

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Ø A   University   degree/HND in Purchasing and   Supply or Economics or Business Administration plus NYSC discharge certificate.

Ø With at least twelve (12) years post qualification cognate experience.

Ø By promotion of a confirmed and suitable Principal Store Officer I/Principal Procurement  Officer I with a minimum of four (4) years satisfactory performance on that post.

9. AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (Ground School)

Ø TIC-Training Instructor competency certificate (ICAO, TRAIN AIR PLUS) is an advantage for all applicants.

Ø Teaching experience is also an advantage for this position

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Ø Diploma certificate in Airframe and power plant,

Ø Diploma certificate in Avionics (Electrical & Electronics)

Ø B.Engineering (Airframe and Power Plant Option) or( Avionics Option)

Ø B.Engineer Aeronautical and Astronautics.
